I live in Colorado Springs

I have to keep saying that phrase to myself since I’m a bit in denial.
So we made the trek to Colorado Springs. It was 2 days of driving with kids but to be honest, they were great! I think it helped that one of them got to ride with Matt in the U-Haul so there was less fighting. Oh and course, the DVD player and lots of snacks kept them happy.

We definitely had our share of adventure though starting with me getting food poisoning halfway there- ugh! I was up ALL flippin’ night hurlin’ my guts out and then got to drive the next day- yipee! We got there super late on Saturday and I was so tired that I fell asleep putting the boys to bed. The next day, we decided to go to Church and had to scrounge for whatever clothes we could find. I couldn’t find my blow dryer or razor– we were quite a sight!

Another adventure we had was taking the U-haul back. It got stuck in a dip in the road when we were taking it back and we had to get it towed. Argh! If I see another U-haul (or meatball sandwich), it will be too soon!

My sister, Ashlee, came along with me and is staying ’till tomorrow. I owe her big time. She and I have been unpacking like madwomen! We got the most done when the kids got to stay at Grandma’s house (yay-I live by family now!) for 2 days. Now that they are home, it’s kind of a joke trying to get the rest done. Anyhoo, we made it and we are trying to make the most of it even though we miss everyone like crazy.

P.S. What’s a post without pics? Here’s some I took yesterday of my youngest sporting Ashlee’s glasses and with his geeky hairdo. Doesn’t he look like a little college student stuck in a 2 year old body?

P.P.S. For all of you waiting for to see your photo galleries, thank you so much for being patient with me! I should have most of them done late next week since both of my kids will be in school then.
