Office Makeover: the “after” photos ~ Colorado Springs baby photographer
This was no easy task. ย I had to take everything out of the office and then start from scratch. ย My goal was to make it look clean, fresh, happy, pretty and functional. ย It was difficult to do because not only do I work in there but my husband & kids like to be on the other computer AND I needed space for my Presentation Artist to package orders and frame prints. ย This is a tiny room so I had to utilize EVERY square ย inch. We are also renting this home for now so I could not paint the walls or build anything onto the room. However,ย I knew that if I made it pretty, I would be more likely to keep it clean and organized…regardless of my right-brain tendencies.
So here it is. My clean-fresh-pretty-and-functional (and no longer crap-tastic) OFFICE:
When my Presentation Artist saw the office for the first time, she gasped and asked, “Has it always been this big??” ย See what I mean by feeling like the walls were crowding in.

Oh I love it! I would love to know where you got your stuff at. I have had to put my office in mine and my husbands room and I am working out of a very tiny space and need some shelves and these look perfect.

Kelli, this is so awesome! It looks AMAZING, and I’m sure you will get more done there now that it’s so organized and inviting! Kind of funny, I almost bought that same exact poster…”keep calm and carry on” I think I might go back and get it! So did you boot your husband or is he still in there too? I would love to know about how much your makeover cost. My office looks about like your did before, same plastic table and dingy organizers.

Colby,I got the place for papers at Target then I added the label clips (that I purchased from Walmart) to it.

So inspiring that I have already chucked everything out of my office/dining room and half painted the walls! Love all the little storage bits for papers, ribbons etc, I feel a little shopping spree coming on ;o)

kelli where did you find the white stacked letter tray on your desk? “a place for pending papers” i’ve been looking for a unit JUST like that and have had zero luck. everyone i find is industrial and gross.
Jessica,I got it at Target in the Scrapbooking section. I had to stack 2 of them on top of each other.
Ok so I have a dream to be organized! SO NOT HAPPENING RIGHT NOW. Can you confirm that having a beautiful space like this really helps with being organized and keeping things tidy? I’ve always wondered if it was really true…Love your blog ๐

Rachel,I can totally confirm that having a beautiful space is a huge motivator to keeping things tidy. Of course, I have to work at it everyday but my office is still clean! That’s a miracle & testament itself!
