Everyone has a story. What’s yours?

I grew up in Canada, the second oldest of 6 kids. I loved growing up in a big family and taking care of my younger siblings. I went to school in Toronto, Canada and got a Bachelors of Science degree and worked for 5 years in Physical Therapy Clinics before deciding I wanted to go back to school. I came to BYU to study Comparative and International Development of Education and had the privilege of getting involved in humanitarian work after the Southeast Asian Tsunami in December 2004. That experience changed my life and has led to many wonderful opportunities all over the world serving those in need. In the middle of all of my humanitarian work, at the age of 31 I was able to marry my sweetheart, 6 weeks after he returned home from Iraq after serving with the Utah National Guard for 15 months. And 4 months later I was able to graduate with my Masters degree. We’ve been married for 6 ½ years now and have three beautiful and strong willed kids who keep me on my toes and my days and nights filled! I count my blessings everyday for the life I’ve been given.

I have the hardest time asking for help or anything really.

I’d have to think about that one for days before I’d be able to answer. I’m terribly indecisive 😉
