I’m OBSESSED with shoes. They are such a fun way to make a statement or add a to your outfit. My rule for shoes is the same as Celebrity Stylist, Rachel Zoe’s: BUY THEM. So naturally I have a LOT of shoes. I’m bettin’ you might too.
Recently,
my Church group was asked to help gather shoes for people living without them in Honduras.
I was touched that some people there have never had shoes, or had to make shoes out of 2 liter pop bottles, like this:
I was also saddened to hear that kids there sometimes can’t even go to school because they don’t have shoes. I wanted to help.
I even got a fortune cookie this week that said this:
So I went through our home and found any shoes that weren’t being used, or were seldom used, and donated them.
I then felt inspired to ask YOU to donate yours too.
WILL YOU HELP?
Our neighbor is collecting all kinds of gently worn shoes for this project. Suitable shoes will be shipped to Honduras after Thanksgiving. Donated shoes that would be less suitable for use there (fancy shoes, high heels, etc.) will be sold and the money collected will be used to help cover the shipping costs.
WAYS TO HELP THE HONDURANS:
1. Please send your used shoes to the following address before Thanksgiving:

Their goal is to raise $8000 to distribute shoes to the needy in Honduras. However, the cost of travel and shipment of shoes is expensive so any amount would be appreciated.
Thank you for your help and donation!
