FINDING BUSINESS SUCCESS WITH DISNEY

Camille has been building her business online for over 10 years and she has found success in a lot of different places.  One of her favorite successes has been being able to work with Disney. Camille worked with Disney for over 3 years and was able to build her blog to be earning over 6 figures.

WANTING & NEEDING MORE IN YOUR MOTHERHOOD

Camille is a mother of 4 and being a mom is all she ever wanted, but she found herself also wanting more. She worked for a mortgage company from home for a little bit, but didn’t love it and began blogging in 2011.  She loved the outlet it gave her to be able to express herself creatively. She found that when she gave herself permission to pursue things for herself that it made her a better wife, mom, and person in general. Camille did have battles with self doubt and shame and pushing away the feelings of “should”,  but in the end she knew that taking time for herself and investing time into expanding herself made her better and happier.

HOW DO YOU DO IT ALL

You don’t. You might start out doing it all, but if you want to continue to grow and expand (in business and in self) and not lose your sanity,  you have to get help. Camille is a big believer in getting help, in fact, she has 6 virtual assistants! The idea of doing it all just isn’t possible without help. We are meant to work together and help each other so that we can do it all. It’s been done for generations and we need to just give ourselves permission to ask for help and hire help.

PERMISSION TO DELEGATE WHAT YOU HATE AND PROCRASTINATE

Camille and Kelli share what to delegate out first. Go for the tasks that you hate to do and the things that you are always procrastinating on. We all have our own ‘zones of genius’ and areas of strengths. Focus on your strengths and delegate out your weaknesses to the people with a different zone of genius than you.

When delegating it’s important to let go of perfection or “doing it your way”. There will be a learning curve when someone else steps in to help and open communication about expectations is key.

BEING INTENTIONAL WITH YOUR TIME

Camille shares about creating healthy relationships with screen time in the home and getting more intentional with the time you have with your kids.  She developed a parent/child interactive journal called Time For Us as an easy way to check in with your kids. This was a passion project that came out of her own need to create moments that matter.

TIPS FOR CONNECTING WITH YOUR KIDS

Camille and Kelli share their tips for how they find little moments to connect with their kids. Car rides are a magical place to create more connection with your kids, especially teens. Weekly family meetings, check-ins, spending a little extra time at night when everyone is getting ready for bed. Camille also noticed that as her teen was getting older she wasn’t giving him as many hugs as her younger kids. She started making it a point to hug him every day and at first it was a little forced and awkward but has turned into a great connection point for the two of them.

ON DAYS WHEN CAMILLE ISN’T FEELING CONFIDENT

For Camille it’s about physical and mental wellness. She will make a phone call to someone who matters to her and will invest her time and attention into someone else, and that always makes her feel better. Movement, audiobooks, something to help her learn or expand. Those things always help her feel a little better, but the biggest is when she is able to connect with someone else and pour into that relationship.
