I realized that I never posted my pathetic attempt to get ONE good shot of all three kids.  Obviously, it didn’t work because my 3 year old was being a stinker (and so was my husband for that matter).  Can you just feel the family love?
This is so my life though. As a Mom I have these great ideals of beautiful family portraits with everyone genuinely smiling and being happy.  I also have dreams of lovely sit-down dinners where everyone raves over the meal that I slaved over mingled with loving conversation.  In reality I get a bawling toddler & a grumpy husband who is glaring at me for wanting his help on just one more photography thing or I get whiney kids asking me why I didn’t cook pizza and yelling at each other over who gets to hold the puppy.

A girl can dream though, right?

Oh how I feel your pain. It’s so hard taking your own children’s pictures. I love this one though! It’s classic.

Isn’t that just so true? I am always dumbfounded when I try to take our own pictures, or even just the kids! I think, “this never happens with clients!”
I do love this shot, though. Classic.

Oh Kelli, Is it bad that the first image makes me crack up? It is totally cute and shows your imperfectly perfect kiddos. Now I want to see one of the grumpy husband. 😉

Oh, wow, I swear you were in my head this morning… it’s SO my life too! 3 kids, whine and dining every night… and forget the family photo! HA!! But as you say, we are allowed to dream 🙂
