An Introduction to Melissa Ambrosini

Melissa is the author of Mastering Your Mean Girl and Open Wide. She’s also the host of the top-rated podcast, The Melissa Ambrosini Show. She’s a speaker, entrepreneur, and spiritual teacher, named as a self-help guru! Her mission is to inspire others to unlock their full potential and live the life of their dreams.

Actions When Your Mean-Girl Starts to Take Over

When Melissa starts to feel her mean-girl starting to take over, her first step is to become aware of what she’s saying, gently close the door, and choose love instead. That has become so automatic for her that when she pops up, she puts herself through this 3-step process right away.

If your daughters struggle with quieting their vicious inner mean girl, the first thing is to give or read Melissa’s book with them. Then, start using the dialogue of pointing out when their mean girl is talking to them.

Pursuing Your Passion and Finding Your Why

If you’re struggling to find your purpose or mission, the first step is to STOP doing the things that don’t bring you joy. Go back to when you were a child and think about what brought you joy. Then, continue to create space in your life for the things that are joyful.

Ask yourself “what would I do if money wasn’t an issue?”

How to Start Meditating

Meditating has changed Melissa’s life! She used to have anxiety, panic attacks, and depressions – and meditation changed her life. She recommends starting with a short guided meditation.

Responding to People Who Don’t Meet Expectations

Expectations ruin relationships! The quickest way to be disappointed is to have an expectation on somebody else. Choose to have preferences over expectations. This doesn’t mean that you don’t have standards and boundaries, but it means to let go of the grip that we place around people when expectations are made.

When you’re triggered, get curious and allow the trigger sit next to you while you dig deeper as to why the trigger occurred and what in your past might have caused this to happen.

When Your Dreams Seem Unattainable

Nothing is unattainable. Everything is possible, but you have to believe. You have to whole-heartedly believe with every fiber of your being and every cell in your body that you can make this happen. Then, take daily inspired actions to make it happen.

Oftentimes, the bigger the dream, the bigger the inner mean girl.

Melissa’s Latest Life Lesson

This year has been about operation relaxation for Melissa. She has been reprogramming her go, go, go mentality and allowing a lot more white space in her days and in her life.
